The name of the person who will be reviewing your resume should always appear at the top of the page. You should use the alphabetical order that has been established by the company that you are applying to. Be sure to list the names of other people who have reviewed your resume.Create a logical outline and always follow it. Each section of your resume should be broken down into logical sections and then explained in order. For example, the next section could be your educational background or work experience. Be sure to include all of the information that you feel is relevant to the position you are applying for. If you do not include all of the information on your resume, this can hurt your chances of being selected for an interview.Do not include a lot of information in the first few sentences of your resume. Your reader should be able to easily understand what you are trying to convey. If they cannot, the employer will have a difficult time determining if you are a good fit for the job.A common error made by many applicants is that they often use the word 'excellent' when they mean 'great.' Never say 'excellent' to describe your performance on a specific job. Instead, explain the specific circumstances under which you were exceptional.Remember that a resume does not need to be as detailed as you would like it to be. The information that you provide should be as basic as possible. Therefore, do not fill out information that is not necessary to the company that you are applying to.Never list all of your perso nal details, including marital status, your birth date, and your location if you do not work in a corporate structure. This information will be used by the employer in the hiring process. Do not forget to use the appropriate format when you are filling out the information on your resume.Last but not least, if you are looking for a job that requires a great deal of training, documentation, and strong organizational skills, you may want to consider seeking a job in the public sector. These are positions that have not traditionally required experience; however, they tend to be highly desirable. You may want to use a national database or an online resume service to find a job in the public sector.
